Why direct-screwing?

In the process of direct-screwing the fastener (screw) forms a thread. As a result of the uninterrupted fiber flow and an increased hardness of the material the so formed thread is highly resilient.

Also, threads formed in this manner are free without clearance and self-locking. Consequently, additional chemical adhesives are redundant. The thread is a metric ISO thread which indicates the compatibility with standard norm parts.

The material of the component is an important parameter that must be considered in practice. Thread-forming screws are applicable for all ductile materials. If this condition is not met (components made of gray iron) the direct-screwing technology is not recommended.
