The “Colossus of Rohrbach” is taking shape

A new production facility is currently being built in Ober-Ramstadt – a significant step for b&m in bringing its resource-efficient cold forming process, b&m-ECCO TEC® (Ecological Coldforming Technology), into large-scale manufacturing.

This process stands for maximum efficiency and sustainability and places special demands on the technology used.

At the heart of the new facility will be a state-of-the-art machinery park, specifically designed for the implementation of b&m-ECCO TEC®. At its center: the so-called “Colossus of Rohrbach” – an impressive machine weighing up to 125 tons.

A glance at the machine body already hints at the scale being realized here. But it’s not just the size that impresses – b&m is also breaking new ground technologically. The machinery park will be equipped with a self-learning control system to ensure maximum precision and process reliability.
