b&m-REPTO® B
Threaded bolts for installation in plastics
The b&m-REPTO® B is a threaded bolt for overmolding and embedding in all common thermoplastics. The external thread, which can be metric or customized, can be used for joining and assembling other components. It ensures a highly repeatable form-fit connection.
Working principle
The b&m-REPTO® B can be installed into the plastic material through overmolding, heat embedding or ultrasonic embedding. The knurl geometry, which is adapted to the selected installation process, is essential for the subsequent load case. Production using cold forming – the non-cutting b&m-ECCO TEC® manufacturing process – can make more efficient use of the material used and further increase the thread strength.
