Corrosion resistant self-drilling and self-tapping screw for stainless steel applications
The b&m-INOXFORM® is a corrosion resistant fastener, made of a special alloy martensitic stainless steel. It manages to combine drilling, tapping and screwing in one single operation and generates a highly resistant connection of stainless steel sheet metals.
Functional principle
The possibility of direct screwing into stainless steel components with a stainless steel self-tapping screw is usually precluded by the fact that the maximum surface hardness of the screw is significantly lower than in the case of conventional self-tapping screws. This is where the b&m-INOXFORM® comes in. With its high-strength material, our solution is able to drill and tap directly into stainless steel sheets without compromising corrosion resistance of the assembly.
